
Obtaining of Utilisation/Non Utilization Certificate from Customs
All the Exporters and Importers are availing the Exim Policy schemes, viz obtaining Advance licence, EPCG Licence, from DGFT, to avail the import of Raw materials, capital goods without payment of duties. The licence is limited to Duty saved value, as well as F O B value to complete the obligation of Export with validity of licence.
All such licences issued by Dgft are compulsory to be registered with customs for monitoring the imports of authorisations.
The endorsement of import of each consignment is recorded by customs authorities on licence by mentioning each time quantity imported and CIF utilised/non utilised, and also update their on line system.
In case of loss of original licence, Importer need to approach Customs for confirming the utilisation/non utillisation value and quantity of licence, so that either importer can use balance quantity and CIF on obtaining duplicate licence or incase of full usage of value and quantity this utilisation/non utilisation certificate will be submitted as proof to Dgft, licencing authorities in support of lost licence.
